What is the average market price for a full wedding photography package?

Our research shows that in the North of England, the average price is in the region of £750 to £1,800 for a professional wedding photography package - though some photographers charge a significantly higher premium for their work.

Whilst our prices start at a budget £595, those couples looking to invest more in their wedding photography will find the widest possible range of options - right through to the ultimate packages.

Our clients enjoy full control of the price in that THEY decide the size and quality of their album, how many photographs are included and how long they require us to be present on the day. These are the main factors affecting the price. Throughout our range, you will find the Media Fizz hallmark of consistency in quality, value - and exceptional service.

More and more couples are realising the enduring value of wedding photography and choosing to invest in higher value packages. However, thanks to our policy of working on relatively low margins, all our clients can still enjoy a high standard of photography with generous package content - at comparatively much lower prices.

How long will before my album is ready?

This entirely depends on how soon you select the images you want in your package from the large selection will will present for your consideration. We normally have your proofs ready within 7 days. Once we receive your selection, the album will be completed within 2 - 3 weeks. If you have purchased a Storybook album, we usually take up to a week after you have selected your pictures to create the album montages.

How certain am I to get the photographer that I booked?

Barring any unforseen circumstances, from which nobody can ever give any 100% guarantee, your special day is always photographed by the photographer you booked and whose work you have seen. In all the years that we have operated, there has never been any variation from that undertaking.  

What guarantees can be given about not having problems with the pictures?

We are paranoid about ensuring that your images are perfectly exposed and stored safely. Three cameras are taken to every wedding. They are always serviced and performance checked beforehand. We also use several high-quality data cards.  Before the day is out, there will be no less than four copies of all the images on our data network and external storage media. Although we have professional liability insurance, we will never take chances with your vital photographs.

How early should I book my wedding photography?

We recommend that you should book the photographer as soon as possible after the wedding  date is decided. Although we receive  requests just months or even weeks before the day, most clients book up to a year [or even two years] in advance. That way, you can relax, knowing that your photographer of choice is secured.

What should I look for when chosing a wedding photographer?

Beware of inexperienced newcomers with substandard equipment and little or no experience.  Ask your photographer what cameras he or she will use. Look further than simply deciding on what is offered in written package details and instead view the quality of album samples.

Avoid making your choice of photographer simply on the basis of one or two pictures on a website. These may be the best taken in the last 10 years and not reflective of what routinely happens!  Look for a good selection of recent images.

Importantly, ask about reprint prices and if there are any hidden extras. It is also important that you are comfortable working with the individual - so that you can relax and enjoy your special day confident that he will get the best from you.

At Media Fizz, we love photography and thoroughly enjoy taking great pictures that will make you happy. Avoid having someone who will turn up and do the minimum in an unenthusiastic and dry manner.

How much control do I have on the album content?

As much or as little as you wish.  We take hundreds of pictures and you will be able to take your time to select exactly which ones appear in your album. If you have selected a Storybook album, we design many exclusive montage pages and allow clients to select the style that suits them and to make amendments if they wish - without any charge.

How can I pay for my wedding photography?

We accept cash, cheque or credit card. We require a deposit on booking and the balance one month before the wedding date. If you book more than 6 months in advance we can offer a monthly direct debit option.

How can family, friends and guests buy pictures?

Couples are usually inundated with requests to see their wedding pictures. This can be stressful and time-consuming. To eliminate the problem, we offer a password-protected on-line gallery of your wedding pictures. Once you have approved them for release, they are available for viewing on our website from any computer in the world. They can be purchased securely in a very wide range of sizes and finishes.

How much does it cost to buy extra pictures?

Prices depend on picture size and order value. We offer a wide range of size options - all of which are exceptionally competatively priced. Importantly, they are discounted even more as the value of your order rises.  You can order extras as part of your original package - for example 'one of everything' or the best 50 or 100 pictures. Our gift boxes are ideal to give to close family or friends. Parent albums are also available at a massively reduced price. You may also buy CDs or DVDs.

What equipment do you use?

We mainly use top-of-the-range Canon professional digital cameras and 'L' series lenses. This guarantees that you will be presented with high resolution images that will not break down when enlarged.
