Portraits

“I have never been aware before

 how many faces there are.

There are quantities of human beings,

but there are many more faces,

 for each person has several.”

-Rainer Maria Rilke, Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge

In addition to offering first-class studio photography, we are keen exponents of natural light portraiture.  Individuals or groups can be photographed at home, in the workplace, in our studio - or on location almost anywhere. Exclusive portraits by John Maffin are available in a variety of finishes. Ideal to display in albums or frames in your home or office - they make the perfect present for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries - or whenever you feel the need to treat yourself or others!  Our packages start from £35!  Click the link at the foot of the page to see what we have on offer.

In our studio, you will find a relaxed atmosphere - and all that is needed to deliver pictures that will delight and inspire you.  We have portable equipment - so we can also bring our studio to you! Location shoots, which exploit the quality of natural light, can be almost anywhere that you feel relaxed - park, marina, seashore or any countryside beauty spot. In fact, anywhere you can find nature's delicate colours for a backdrop.

Our style is relaxed and friendly - so you can be completely at ease. We aim to bring out the very best in our subjects and are sure you will be delighted with the results. Pictures can be printed on high quality photographic paper and mounted on board if required. Heat sealing is available and we can also print on to canvas. Our large range of traditional and modern albums and frames are presented to add the finishing touch to your treasured images.

Our portrait photography sessions usually last around one hour. During this time, we take a large number of pictures. From the images recorded, we select a number for you to view in our studio at a later date. If you wish, you can see them at home using our password protected on-line web gallery.
